Meet Maria - Maria Newell's Bio |
My name is Maria Newell.
I live in Sidney, NY with my husband of 23 years, Bob, and our three children - Megan (20), Joshua (17) and Matthew (11). Bob is a building contractor, and I work for Mothers and Babies Prenatal Network as a Coordinator of a community resource Center for parents and care-takers of children 5 and under, called PAL.
I was born into a Christian home, and during my teen years I came to understand that I needed to make my faith my own. It has been a life-long journey of faith, trust, obedience and application.
I am the worship leader at Circle Drive Alliance Church in Sidney. God has been blessing my music ministry, and I travel to sing for women's groups, retreats, church concerts, coffee houses and special occasions. I have 3 CDs available of my own music - "Friend of My Heart," "Closer than the Air,? and my new release, Everything.
My passion is to not only see people come to a saving knowledge of Christ, but to also encourage and assist others to build "heart-knowledge" of Christ in relationship with Him - to see Christians be set free from bondage and know who they are in Christ.
I love to share God's word, personal testimony and my own music, and often incorporate sign language into the program.
Recently I returned form a short-term mission trip to Kenya, Africa. The process of getting ready, of actually going, and of assimilating it all into who I am, has changed my life forever.
Other life-experiences I have to draw from include my salvation, God's grace, faithfulness and healing in the areas of my marriage, parenting, loss of a home, miscarriage and struggles with fear and dependence on others, as well as joys of God's presence, provision, perfect timing and His fulfilling of the desires of my heart!
